I can't wait

It's almost here....

This makes me happy

Scooter Girl

Soon I should be cruising around in one of these bad boys.

Yeah I'm Cool

I'm on a mission

I am on a personal mission, to read as much as I can and become a more well-rounded person. In addition to my passion for reading, I am also trying to watch movies that have deeper meaning not just mindless entertainment. Now that doesn't mean I will never watch those kind of movies, I mean we all need a little break, right?

Recommended Books

The Glass Castle: A Memoir
by Jeannette Walls

This book changed my life, I can totally relate to the character and am proud that West Virginia is a big part of the book, even though it's not the most flattering portrait of our state, it's real.

The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns
by Khaled Hosseini

Words cannot express my love for these books.

The Road and No Country For Old Men
by Cormac McCarthy

This man is writing perfection.

Brand New Me

I had last weekend off, and in effort to being a super big sis, Meghan, Hailey and my little sweetie Wyatt went to the mall. I played the role of Daddy Warbucks and think everybody had a good time, except my bank account...LOL. As I get older, it is more and more important to spend time with family (Sorry for the cheese). The best purchase of the day was a cake I bought my best friend Angela, who is getting divorced *finally*

After lunch at Bennigans the kids, yes that includes Meghan...LOL, wanted The Great American Cookie...while there Meghan and I inquired about Divorced themed cakes and 10 minutes later were on our way to Angelas with the cake. I think she liked it.

My glorious weekend off ended Sunday when I checked out the webpage at work and discovered we were BUSY! So this week has been spent playing catch up, staying up late and getting up early, so I'm tired to say the least.

I had a mini shopping spree on my birthday last week and purchased some new makeup and beauty products in general. I LOVE Sephora and while browsing I decided to take the plunge and order Bare Minerals makeup, i've been wanting to for awhile, but was afraid to put down that much money and what if I didn't like it. Meghan received some for Christmas and loves it, and several other folks I know use it and Sephora had the Starter Kit for like $60.00 so I bought it...so far I love it, it looks great and it soo easy to use. I also bought some MAC eyeshadow and brushes as well as a really pretty lip gloss. I have also heard a lot about Philosophy products like the Amazing Grace 3 n 1 shampoo, bath and shower gel and most especially their moisturizer Hope in a Jar and cleanser Purity...so far I LOVE LOVE it all and would recommend these to anyone. So that pretty sums up my week, working and waiting for packages because I'm a freak and really enjoy, probably too much, receiving packages in the mail...What is about that, I can't be the only one...right.

*Correction* I failed to mention that my best friend made me a delicious dinner of ravoli and meat sauce...it was so appreciated and greatly enjoyed.

I'm working this weekend....bleh

I hate everything about you.

I've been into this 90's music kick the last couple of days...it all started with Monifah's "Touch It" that I heard on the radio. Now it's a full blown epidemic. I'm at this very moment listening to Ugly Kid Joe...Ugly Kid Joe, how long has it been since you've even thought about that group...probably for most of you, it's never. I'm also reminiscing about my 7th grade grunge days and listening to the Offspring and Stone Temple Pilots...aww memories.

I did laundry ALL Day today, because I'm not one of the smart people that keeps up with laundry, I wait until I have nothing to wear but gloves and a pair of mismatch socks, one of which has a hole...I did do something fun today though, I watched the Indian Jones Trilogy in preparation of the new movie, "Indiana Jones and the Curse of the Crystal Monkey" or something to that effect.

It's Canadian, eh?

I have always been obsessed with Canadian culture. From Oh Canada to Mounties to Degrassi The Next Generation...I love Canada! Has anyone ever tried Poutine???? The picture here shows a close up of Poutine...i want some *BAD*

Ever felt like running away and never coming back???

That is totally how I feel lately, I am in DESPERATE need of a vacation. I feel like I'm in a rut. Don't you hate when you come home and go to sleep at like 6pm then wake up at 10pm and can't go back to sleep until 3 or 4 am? I have been doing that for weeks now...not days but weeks! Ugh, it's soo frustrating.

Today was a pretty interesting day, I have a huge headache from yelling...I wasn't mad or anything, I just met a family with a husband and wife who could not hear a word I saying and I had to shout at the top of my lungs to make them understand. A la, National Lampoon Christmas Vacation...they famous saying of "Grace" scene in which Aunt Bethany can't hear a word any one says and you end up shouting and looking like an idiot. Well that idiot was me today.

I had no clean knee highs (yes I'm officially OLD) today so I found in the back of my drawer a pair of pantyhose with no holes in the feet! YAY! But the they did have a huge hole in the waistband area and crotch-al region. Don't you hate that? I feel like some sort of sick pervert or kinda trashy all because of holy pantyhose. I hate hate hate panty hose, they are the bane of my existence. I prefer knee highs and trouser socks because they don't make my mid section into one big fat roll....I mean I prefer my two fat rolls because at least I can disguise those with my clothes (belts, jackets etc) but I in panty hose I always feel like I'm either a tick ready to burst or five months pregnant. The panty hose like I said also had hole in the waist band so a portion of flesh poked out the side and gave me some sort of tumor looking growth poking out of my side....sigh

Well I've been pretty busy with work lately, that's why I haven't updated in a century. I've been reading a TON as well. I also signed up for Netflix and have been wathcing a lot of movies too. So yes if your wondering I have no life...hahaha.

Tomorrow's my birthday and I will be 27. I am 27, I can't believe it...I'm on the downward slope of 30...man that sucks!

The X-files 2 movie comes out July 25, 2008, and man I am sooo excited, in case you don't know, I LOVE the X-files, I'm a totally Mulder and Scully Shipper and I even have the collector's edition of the X-Files Box Set with all 200 episodes and the first movie: Fight the Future. I am watching the series from the beginning and am currently on Season 4...it's getting totally shippy :)

It's good to be back...
